dc.description.abstractAčkoliv se geografické informační systémy (GIS) staly nenahraditelným nástrojem v každodenním životě, jejich využití ve vzdělávání zeměpisu na základních školách není téměř vůbec podpořeno legislativními dokumenty. Využití GIS, ať už jako nástroje výuky nebo předmětu výuky, by mělo být, vzhledem ke zkušenostem ze zahraničí, zakotveno už i pro základní vzdělávání zeměpisu na druhém stupni.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThe aim of this article is to describe positives and negatives of introduction of geographical information systems (GIS) into the Czech lower secondary education of geography. GIS is complex system for spatial data processing. Most of us uses the GIS every day, for example web map application Mapy.cz, GPS navigation, online cadaster map, etc. It is time to teach about GIS at school, especially at lower secondary education, because GIS has become a basic tool of everyday life. According to many researches it is possible to implement the GIS to Czech national curriculum of geography for lower secondary education. And finally, GIS could be implement into the other subjects of the Czech lower secondary education, for example Physics, Math, Natural Sciences, etc.en
