| dc.description.abstract | Generace našich předků musely opakovaně čelit těžkému údělu v důsledku náboženských konfliktů či politických tlaků. Ani minulé století se nevyhnulo vleklým represím. Lidé jim byli vystaveni v souvislosti s událostmi první a především druhé světové války, po komunistickém převratu v únoru 1948 a opět po okupaci vojsky Varšavské smlouvy o dvacet let později. Znovunastolený režim, označovaný paradoxně jako normalizace, tedy návrat k „normálním poměrům“, pak v Československu panoval následující dvě dekády. S totalitou padesátých let sice vykazuje určité shodné rysy, v řadě charakteristik se však výrazně liší. Svévolná mocenská rozhodnutí nejenže neměla oporu v legislativě, ale často probíhala na ústní bázi, což zásadním způsobem snahy o jeho zhodnocení komplikuje. | dc.description.abstract-translated | Generations of our ancestors repeatedly had to face great difficulties as the result of religious conflicts and political pressures, and the 20th century, too, saw periods of long-lasting repression. People faced repression in the First and above all the Second World War, after the communist takeover in February 1948 and again after the occupation of the country by Warsaw Pact troops twenty years later. The rule of the reestablished regime, paradoxically labelled “normalisation” or a return to “normal conditions”, lasted for another two decades. It shared a number of characteristics with the totalitarianism of the 1950s, but also differed considerably in a number of ways. The capricious decisions of the power elites not only had no basis in law, but often took place on an oral basis, which fundamentally complicates attempts to evaluate the period. The following contribution aims to illustrate its mechanisms both in the overall context of art production and using several specific examples. | en |
