dc.description.abstractTato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na využití Business Intelligence (BI) jako nástroje pro podporu manažerského rozhodování v oblasti logistiky, konkrétně v prostředí Fourth-Party Logistics (4PL). Cílem diplomové práce je analyzovat možnosti využívání BI managementem vybrané společnosti působící v oblasti 4PL a na základě provedené analýzy navrhnout doporučení v oblasti jejího využití. Teoretická část přibližuje vývoj BI, její komponenty, technologie, využití v manažerském rozhodování i specifika nasazení v logistice a modelu 4PL. Praktická část je postavena na kvalitativním výzkumu formou polostrukturovaných rozhovorů, jejichž výstupy jsou zpracovány tematickou analýzou. Výsledky ukazují, že BI přináší výhody zejména v oblasti plánování, zrychlení přístupu k datům a zvýšení transparentnosti. Zároveň jsou však identifikovány i určité bariéry. Výzkum rovněž naznačuje rozdíly mezi regiony, které by ovšem mohly souviset spíše s technologickým nastavením projektů než s jejich geografickým umístěním. Na základě zjištěných skutečností jsou navržena konkrétní doporučení pro další rozvoj využívání BI v analyzované společnosti.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThis master's thesis focuses on the use of Business Intelligence (BI) as a tool to support managerial decision-making in the field of logistics, specifically within the environment of Fourth-Party Logistics (4PL). The aim of the thesis is to analyze the possibilities of BI utilization by the management of a selected company operating in the 4PL sector and, based on the conducted analysis, to propose recommendations regarding its further use. The theoretical part describes the development of BI, its components, technologies, its application in managerial decision-making, and the specifics of its deployment in logistics and the 4PL model. The practical part is based on qualitative research conducted through semi-structured interviews, the outputs of which are processed using thematic analysis. The results show that BI brings benefits especially in planning, accelerating access to data, and increasing transparency. At the same time, certain barriers are identified. The research also indicates regional differences, which may be more related to the technological setup of projects than to their geographical location. Based on the findings, specific recommendations are proposed for the further development of BI utilization in the analyzed company.en
