dc.description.abstract-translatedThis paper deals with the influence of the current fast development in the field of information and communication technologies, usually marked as the “emergence of Industry 4.0" or the "Fourth Industrial Revolution” on the central part of the company information infrastructure represented by the information systems of the “Enterprise Resource Planning” (ERP) category. Its aim is to evaluate, which demands on the ERP systems are, or are going to be in the future, caused by the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and to what extent these demands are, or are going to be, fulfilled by the ERP systems accessible on the Czech market. In the first part of the paper the actual content of the buzzword “Industry 4.0” is briefly discussed and results of the systematic review of academic literature dealing with the relationship of Industry 4.0 and ERP systems are summed up, in order to identify particular technologies of Industry 4.0 relevant to the ERP systems. Technologies of system integration, automatic identification and data capture, cloud computing and big data were identified as relevant based on this review. In the second part of the paper particular demands, which the ERP systems have to fulfil to be able to cooperate with the identified technologies, are discussed. Third part of the paper then presents methodology of empirical research, which consisted of research interviews made with the representatives of the Czech suppliers of the ERP systems, inquiring the present and future reflection of the identified relevant technologies of Industry 4.0 in their systems. Last part of the paper then discusses obtained results and concludes, what these results mean for the current state of the Czech ERP systems market.en
