| dc.description.abstract | Hlavním cílem této práce je překlad anglického textu do češtiny. Překládaný text se jmenuje The Tremendous Yet Troubled State of Gaming in 2024 od autora Matthew Ball. Text je zaměřený na současný stav videoherního průmyslu. Autor v něm dopodrobna rozebírá problémy, kterým videoherní průmysl čelí. V první části se věnuji teorii překladu. Uvádím historický vývoj překladu a také současné překladatelské trendy. Uvádím možné problémy, které mohou překladatele potkat, ale hlavně rozebírám překladatelské procesy, kterými se v překladu řídím. Poté následuje překlad již zmíněného anglického textu. V následující části analyzuji překlad. Píši o své strategii při překladu, a uvádím několik příkladů, které jsem v práci zvolil. Podrobněji přibližuji hlavně problematiku převodu anglických časů do češtiny. V neposlední řadě uvádím problematiku překladu, kdy balancuji na hraně přesností překladu, a jeho pochopitelností. | cs |
| dc.description.abstract-translated | The main aim of this thesis is to translate the English text into Czech. The translated text is called The Tremendous Yet Troubled State of Gaming in 2024 by Matthew Ball. The text focuses on the current state of the video game industry. The author discusses in detail the problems, that are currently plaguing the video-gaming industry. In the first part, I discuss the theory of translation. I provide a historical development of translation as well as current translation trends. I list possible problems that translators may encounter, but most importantly I discuss the translation processes that guide translation. This is followed by the translation of the aforementioned English text.<br> In the following section I analyse the translation. I write about my strategy in translation, and give some examples that I have chosen in my work. In particular, I discuss in more detail the issue of translating English tenses into English. Last but not least, I consider the issue of translation, where I balance on the edge of the accuracy of the translation, and its comprehensibility. | en |
