| dc.description.abstract | Předložená studie se pokouší o aplikaci teorie vtipu na konkrétní mediálně kritizovanou část vystoupení baviče Štěpána Kozuba z konce roku 2022. Nejprve představuji veřejnou kritiku, která shledala danou pasáž z vystoupení nepovedenou, nevhodnou a v některých případech i rasistickou. Mou snahou je potvrdit nebo vyvrátit tato podezření na základě konkrétních filosofických teorií. První část článku se proto věnuje otázce vhodnosti vtipu. Zde odhlížím od osobních postojů autora a ptám se, zda je možné bez ohledu na intenci zhodnotit zařazení určitého obsahu do fiktivního představení za nevhodné. V návaznosti na teorie Brandona Cooka (2014) a Christophera Bartela a Anny Cremaldi (2018) tvrdím, že fikční výroky mohou být posuzovány jako morálně nevhodné bez ohledu na intenci autora, pokud mají reálné důsledky, které lze morálně hodnotit. Druhá část se zaměřuje status výroků v kontextu představení. V této části se opírám o článek Jesse Rappaporta a Jakea Quilty-Dunna (2020), kteří ukazují, že komikovy výroky nejsou na jevišti vnímány jako pravé výroky. V závě ru docházím k tvrzení, že Kozubovu nepovedenou anekdotu lze celkově klasifikovat jako rasově necitlivou, a tedy nevhodnou. Na druhou stranu je možné zbavit Kozuba podezření z rasistických výroků. | cs |
| dc.description.abstract-translated | The presented study attempts to apply the theory of humor to a specific part of Štěpán Kozub’s performance at the end of 2022, which was widely criticized in the media. First, I introduce the public criticism, which deemed the passage in question as unsuccessful, inappropriate, and in some cases, even racist. My aim is to confirm or refute these suspicions based on specific philosophical theories. The first part of the article addresses the question of the joke’s appropriateness. Here, I set aside the personal views of the author and ask whether it is possible, regardless of author’s intention, to morally evaluate certain content in a fictional performance as inappropriate. Following the theory of Brandon Cook (2014), Bartel and Cremaldi (2018), I argue that fictional statements can be judged as morally inappropriate, regardless of the author’s intent, if they have real consequences that can be morally evaluated. The second part focuses on the status of the statements made within context of performance. In this section, I rely on the article by Jesse Rappaport and Jake Quilty-Dunn (2020), who show that a comedian’s statements on stage are not perceived as genuine statements.In conclusion, I assert that Kozub’s unsuccessful anecdote can overall be classified as racially insensitive, and therefore inappropriate. Yet it is entirely possible to absolve Kozub of suspicions of making racist statements. | en |
