Item Dopravní geografické regiony Karlovarského kraje a jejich aplikace v prostředí GIS(Západočeská univerzita v Plzni, Pedagogická fakulta, Katedra geografie, 2006) Švec, Pavel; Kraft, Stanislav; Kopp, JanThe article concerns regional division of Karlovy Vary Region upon inclusion of public transport and its application in GIS environment. The regions were formed according to transport divide method. Resulting regions characterize transportation links within the Karlovarsky region. The regions were compared with administrative structuring and complex social geographic regional division by interlacing of particular layers in GIS environment. Through the use of buffer zone transportationally indifferent areas were identified in the region. In ArcToolbox application dynamic of transport divide line progress was observed.Item Udržitelný rozvoj malých ostrovních států(Západočeská univerzita v Plzni, Pedagogická fakulta, Katedra geografie, 2006) Sovadina, Jan; Kopp, JanThe basic objectives of this bachelor’s thesis are following: (1) Creation of the island countries classification on the basis of indicators of sustainable development, (2) Creation of understandable and reproducable methodology of permanent sustainable classification. This methodology rise from the principe of multicriterion classification. The thesis has these findings: Thirty six island countries (which this thesis deals wish) have heterogeneous characteristics. Every island country is specific. This various and difference of island countries creates different presumptions for achievement of sustainable future.Item Suburbanizační procesy v Plzeňské aglomeraci(Západočeská univerzita v Plzni, Pedagogická fakulta, Katedra geografie, 2006) Sobotová, Jana; Kopp, JanThe project monitores the suburban processes in the agglomeration of Pilsen. The suburban area was chosen based on the increase of figures: in the number of inhabitants, building of flats and everyday commuting to work. The project solves the questions of commecial suburbanisation in the agglomeration of Pilsen.Item Návrh na manažment biotopov vybraných taxónov z rodu Ophrys L. (Orchidaceae) na Devínskej Kobyle (Bratislava)(Západočeská univerzita v Plzni, Pedagogická fakulta, Katedra geografie, 2006) Senko, Dušan; Miškovic, Ján; Kopp, JanMany valuable and threatened taxons of the family Orchidaceae, including the representatives of genus Ophrys, are disappearing from semi-natural grasslands because of the advancing secondary succession. Conservation and restoration of calcareous grasslands rich in species at the Devínska Kobyla Mt. requires appropriate interventions after the traditional forms of management will be finished. Bromus erectus is the dominant species at the Devínska Kobyla Mt., hence it is necessary to choose adequate intervention aim of which would be the reduced dominance of this species. Restoration of extensive sheep grazing in this calcareous grassland is not realistic. This is the reason why it is proposed to mow every year or at least every two years (and remove the mown mass) the growths where the taxons of genus Ophrys occur. The best moment for mowing is after maturation of the Orchid Genus Ophrys seeds. With regard to the phenologic cycles of the species concerned, the following mowing terms are proposed: end of June for the locality with occurrence of Early Spider Orchid (Ophrys sphegodes), July for localities with occurrence of Late Spider Orchid (O. holosericea) and Fly Orchid (O. insectifera). The locality with Bee Orchid (Ophrys apifera) does not require mowing due to shallow soil (Lithosol) and vegetation that is close to Poo badensis-Festucetum pallentis association. If mowing cannot be used on the particular dates, it is proposed to mow the growths with the dominating species Bromus erectus in October. The study presents the example how the number of flowering Early Spider Orchid (Ophrys sphegodes) individuals increased after the locality was mown by the employees of the State Nature Conservation in autumn 2004. Their number more than quadrupled in 2005.Item Proč geografie HIV/AIDS?(Západočeská univerzita v Plzni, Pedagogická fakulta, Katedra geografie, 2006) Preis, Jiří; Kopp, JanHIV/AIDS pandemic has been a world phenomenon for last couple of years, but it is not a domain of only medical science anymore. The geographical aspects of pandemia HIV/AIDS have been researched since 1990s in the western Europe or USA. This paper discusses, whether geography in the Czech Republic should study the pandemia too, not only because Eastern Europe is the second most afflicted region and the society has stopped to be alert, but just because geography has specific methodology, wich can be used to spatially explore and thus fight AIDS. Another reason is, that 30 years ago the medical geography and the geography of health rooted in former Czechoslovakia, but there have not been any followers since that time.Item Geografické aspekty česko-japonských vztahů(Západočeská univerzita v Plzni, Pedagogická fakulta, Katedra geografie, 2006) Luňáčková, Petra; Kopp, JanThis bachelor project is about geographical aspects of Czech-Japanese relationships. At present there are many contacts between Czech republic and Japan on various levels. Intention of this thesis is to find out some new facts about Czech-Japanese relationships and based on obtaining facts to get an exact imagination of characters and geographical aspects of this relationship.Item Možnosti vymezení Plzeňské aglomerace(Západočeská univerzita v Plzni, Pedagogická fakulta, Katedra geografie, 2006) Kovanda, Jaroslav; Kopp, JanThere are many ways how to define Pilsen’s agglomeration. It always depends on chosen criteria. In this project, Pilsen‘s agglomeration is defined according to these seven criterias: transport of employees to Pilsen, bus accessibility of Pilsen, automobile accessibility of Pilsen, distance of municipalities from Pilsen town, frequency of bus transport, concentration of inhabitants and employment in primary sphere.Item Srovnávací studie zdrojnic Berounky ve vztahu k území města Plzně(Západočeská univerzita v Plzni, Pedagogická fakulta, Katedra geografie, 2006) Kopp, Jan; Kopp, JanThis study deals with the hydrographical, hydrological, geomorphological and ecohydrological evaluation of the Berounka river tributaries at their confluence in Pilsen. This work concentrates on the comparative study of four rivers (Mže, Radbuza, Úhlava, Úslava). The hydrographic analysis is important part of the watersheds comparison. Differences of the hydrographical parameters (catchment area, altitude of springs, order in the river network) are typical for all the Berounka river tributaries. This study presents also the difference of the hydrological parameters (annual discharges, runoff variability), geomorfological parameters (balance of the longitudinal profile, hypsographical integral) and ecohydrological parameters as well (water quality, quality of land use in the flood plain). This differences influence the City of Pilsen area and its water resourses and flood hazards. Flood impacts correspond to unacceptable anthropogenic changes and to hydrographical and geomorphological attributes of catchments.Item Průřezová témata z pohledu zeměpisu(Západočeská univerzita v Plzni, Pedagogická fakulta, Katedra geografie, 2006) Červený, Pavel; Kopp, JanMost of elementary schools and grammar schools are occurring at the final phase of the School Educational Programmes creating. These programmes are coming up according to the Framework Educational Programme of the Elementary Education. The schools should start to teach according to these documents since the school year 2007/2008. New notions gradually appeared within the frame of the School Educational Programs creation, for example: key competences, the disposable time dotation or sectional themes. The content of these notions was realized at schools in principal in former times. In the new School Educational Programmes the content should be exactly defined and delimitated in context of the school specialization and organizational possibilities. Now the schools should have an idea, how the School Educational Programme and its parts will be realized during the school year. It is also related to the sectional themes. How will be the sectional themes realized at schools? What are the advantages and disadvantages of different ways of the realization? What position does geography occupy in the particular sectional themes? Thes are only a few questions, which should be answered in the following article.Item Matematicko-kartografická analýza rakouských topografických map ze III. vojenského mapování(Západočeská univerzita v Plzni, Pedagogická fakulta, Katedra geografie, 2006) Čechurová, Monika; Kopp, JanPolyedrical projection of Austrian military topographic maps from mathematical cartography s point of view (projection principle, map sheet geometrical properties, element distortions). Mathematic model of solution and its computer implementation. Numerical results of detailed analysis of the map sheet geometrical properties for the former Czechoslovakia before the World War II are included.Item K nedožitým sedmdesátinám Doc. Ing.
