dc.description.abstractCílem studie je rozšířit znalosti o subkultuře fanoušků britské hudební skupiny Depeche Mode v období před Sametovou revolucí. Výzkum se zaměřuje především na hlavní rysy této subkultury, jak byla organizována a na její aktivity. Základem studie jsou rozhovory s aktivními členy subkultury té doby. Rozhovory byly uskutečněny metodou orální historie. Vedle rozhovorů je výzkum založen na zdrojích a informacích z odborné literatury, archivních materiálů a periodik. Studie přináší nové poznatky o tom, jak fungovala depešácká subkultura v ČSSR. Tato subkultura ve svém vrcholném období čítala podle mediálních odhadů až 250 000 členů a vytvářela vlastní organizační struktury. Studie dále přináší zjištění, jak státní moc socialistického Československa ovlivňovala každodenní život depešácké subkultury.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThe aim of the study is to expand knowledge about the subculture of fans of the British music band Depeche Mode in the period before the Velvet Revolution. The research focuses primarily on the main features of this subculture, on how it was organized, and what activities it carried out. The study is based on interviews with active members of the subculture of the time. The interviews were conducted using the oral history method. In addition to interviews, the research is based on sources and information from specialized literature, archival materials, and periodicals. The study brings new knowledge about how the subculture functioned in the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic. According to media estimates, this subculture had up to 250,000 members at its peak. The subculture created its own organizational structures. The study also finds out how the state power of socialist Czechoslovakia influenced the daily life of the subculture of Depeche Mode fans.en
