Archeologie a exhumace obětí komunismu: Zjištění forenzní archeologie jako historický pramen i důkazy zločinů

Abstract

Archeologické metody se postupně prosazují veforenzních vědách. Velkou úlohu sehrály v posledníchdesetiletích při vyšetřování masových zločinů protilidskosti, genocidy a válečných zločinů v různýchčástech světa. Předmětem archeologických odkryvůse stávají také hroby obětí stalinských represí na územíbývalého Sovětského svazu i v některých zemíchkontrolovaných po válce Moskvou. Archeologie takpřispívá k odhalení zločinů komunismu, jejichž materiálnídoklady přes veškeré snahy pachatelů nezmizely.

Archaeological methods have increasingly become established within the forensic sciences. Over the past decades, they have played a significant role in the investigation of mass crimes against humanity, genocide, and war crimes in various parts of the world. Archaeological excavations have also focused on the graves of victims of Stalinist repression in the territory of the former Soviet Union as well as in several countries that came under Moscow’s control after the war. In this way, archaeology contributes to uncovering the crimes of communism, whose material evidence has not disappeared despite extensive efforts by the perpetrators.
