Bezdomovectví lidí středního věku v Praze

Abstract

Kniha Homelessness among Older Adults in Prague přináší empirické poznatky o životech lidí ve středním věku, kteří přišli o bydlení, potažmo o domov a jsou tzv. na ulici. Obsahově se snaží pokrýt celou řadu témat, které s problematikou bezdomovectví souvisejí, a to prostřednictvím výpovědi samotných aktérů. Autorský kolektiv se ovšem při této snaze dopouští řady pochybení, a to v rovině teoretické, metodologické, ale i etické. V důsledku se jedná o publikaci, kterou lze označit za kontraverzní a nerespektující základy vědecké práce.The book Homelessness among Older Adults in Prague brings empirical findings about the lives of middle-aged people who have lost their homes and are on the streets. The content tries to cover a range of topics related to homelessness through the testimonies of the actors themselves. However, the authors' collective commits a number of errors in this endeavour, on the theoretical, methodological and ethical levels. As a result, this is a publication that can be described as controversial and disrespectful of the foundations of scientific work.
