Keltové a Germáni – teze a obrazy

Abstract

Autor diskusního příspěvku shledává logický rozpor mezi tezemi 20.2, resp. 23 na jedné straně a 3 na straně druhé, tedy mezi tvrzením, že neexistuje žádná obecně uznávaná definice etnika a názorem, že antické pojmy Keltové a Germáni neoznačovaly etnika v dnešním chápání. J. Macháčekpři tomto tvrzení vychází z předpokladu, že není-li něco definováno, pak to neexistuje.

The author of the discussion post finds a logical contradiction between theses 20.2, or 23 on the one hand and 3 on the other, i.e. between the claim that there is no generally accepted definition of ethnicity and the opinion that the ancient terms Celts and Germans did not denote ethnicity in today's understanding. J. Macháček in making this statement, it is based on the assumption that if something is not defined, then it does not exist.
