dc.description.abstractPredicted abbreviation was 2.8 cm (median 2.5, range 1.5 – 7 cm). The epiphyseodesis was carried out at the age 11.1 – 16.5 years (mean 13,2 years), bone age was 12.5 + 0.8 years in girls and 14 +0.8 in boys. The final (residual) LELD after surgery was assessed after finishing of skeletal growth (median 4 years after surgery) and it was 0.8 + 0.7 cm (median 0.7, range 0 – 2.5 cm). The discrepancy decreased by average 2 cm (1.6 – 6 cm), which resembled the predicted remaining growth 1.9 (0.3 – 6 cm). Improvement of the prediction method and earlier indication of surgery enabled to achieve better results since 2005.en
