dc.description.abstractTato bakalářská práce analyzuje diskurz politických aktérů v českém Senátu během debaty o ratifikaci Istanbulské úmluvy v roce 2024. Prostřednictvím kvalitativní obsahové analýzy identifikuje klíčové argumenty zastánců (frontlash) a odpůrců (backlash) úmluvy, zasazené do teoretického rámce J. C. Alexandera (2019). Zastánci zdůrazňovali potřebu systémové ochrany obětí násilí a mezinárodní závazky, zatímco odpůrci varovali před údajnou "genderovou ideologií" a ohrožením tradičních hodnot. Práce odhaluje polarizované strategie obou stran: progresivní apely na univerzální práva a empatii versus konzervativní rétoriku strachu a obrany statusu quo. Zamítnutí úmluvy Senátem odráží hlubší společenské napětí mezi prosazováním genderové rovnosti a odolností vůči změnám v českém politickém kontextu.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThis bachelor thesis analyses the discourse of political actors in the Czech Senate during the debate on the ratification of the Istanbul Convention in 2024. Through qualitative content analysis, it identifies the key arguments of supporters (frontlash) and opponents (backlash) of the Convention, set within the theoretical framework of J. C. Alexander (2019). Proponents emphasized the need for systemic protection for victims of violence and international obligations, while opponents warned of alleged "gender ideology" and threats to traditional values. The work reveals polarized strategies on both sides: progressive appeals to universal rights and empathy versus conservative rhetoric of fear and defense of the status quo. The Senate's rejection of the Convention reflects a deeper social tension between the promotion of gender equality and resistance to change in the Czech political context.en
