| dc.description.abstract-translated | This aim of this paper is the collection of information from literature and empirical research and articles published in scientific journals in order to record some key points concerning Internet Visual Sexual Stimuli. By the term Visual Sexual Stimuli, we refer mainly to text, images, or videos with erotic content, such as nude photographs and pornographic videos. A brief introduction is first provided. The review then focuses on the problematic use of pornography and its relationship to patterns of compulsive sexual behavior. Following this, the paper examines the effects of pornography consumption on self-image and interpersonal relationships. Finally, attention is drawn to the use of pornographic material within the LGBTQI+ community and the specific impacts and considerations relevant to this population. | en |
