| dc.description.abstract-translated | This article focuses on the application of circular economy principles in the brewing industry, with a case study of small breweries in Milwaukee, USA. The aim is to explore how small breweries implement sustainable practices in areas such as water management, energy use, waste handling, and by-product utilization. The research adopts a qualitative approach, collecting data through semi-structured interviews with representatives of selected breweries. The level of circular economy implementation is measured according to the 10R framework for measuring circular levels developed by Jacqueline Cramer (2022). The analysis reveals that while some breweries are in the process of adopting innovative practices, barriers such as financial constraints and lack of infrastructure persist. The article concludes with recommendations for further steps toward more sustainable beer production and the potential for broader application of circular principles in this sector. | en |
