Abstract
The study provides information about a previously unknown tilt hammer that worked in the 19th and 20th centuries near the village of Meziříčí in the Novohradské Mountains. The non-destructive archaeological research focused on the investigation of anthropogenic reliefs, geodetic and photographic documentation and interpretation of the remains of the buildings and technical equipment of the hammer. Despite the complete disappearance of the hammer building, the waterwheel pit, the course of the head race, the wooden structures of the weir and the position of the hammer were located. The study thus demonstrates that even a forgotten and seemingly completely destroyed technical facility can provide extensive information about its layout and technical equipment.Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
