| dc.description.abstract-translated | Business information systems of the Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) category form the central part of the information infrastructure of most medium and large enterprises. Since their emergence in the 1980s and 1990s, they have undergone extensive technological development, so as to be able to reflect current trends in the field of information and communication technology. In practical terms, this development was implemented by their vendors, while from the academic point of view, it was reflected in scientific papers from the same period. This paper deals with such reflection of the main technological trend of contemporary world – the Artificial Intelligence (AI), which definitively came into spotlight with the emergence of Large Language Models (LLM) in the beginning of this decade. Firstly, the public web pages and other marketing materials of the main ERP systems vendors, both global and from the Czech Republic, were browsed to find out whether and to what extent AI is integrated in their solutions. Secondly, the citation database Web of Science was searched in order to assess the intensity of current academic discussion on AI in ERP systems and to compare this intensity with the state before the outbreak of LLM. The results obtained regarding the practical and theoretical reflections of AI in the field of ERP systems were then briefly discussed, emphasizing the comparison between global and local contexts. | en |
