dc.description.abstractPráce představuje vznik a vývoj antického skepticismu se zvláštním zřetelem na pyrrhonismus, stručně popisuje dějiny skeptického uvažování ve středověku a je přiblížena recepce antického skepticismu během renesance. Další část podává v několika podkapitolách informace o životě a díle nejvýznamnějšího renesančního skeptika Michela de Montaigne. Dotýká se jeho díla Eseje, filosofického myšlení, rozebrána je Apologii Raimunda ze Sabundy i pátrání na poli fideismu. Je nastíněn vliv myšlení Montaigne na novověkou filosofii. Závěr práce poskytuje shrnutí nejzásadnějších myšlenek a zhodnocení Montaignova skepticismu pro vývoj novodobého myšlení.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThe present dissertation examines the philosophy of scepticism. It synthesises the key historical moments surrounding the birth and the development of the sceptical view of the world then further clarifies its role in influencing philosophical thinking throughout the various stages of human history. The historical periods discussed include: Hellenism, with a focus on the Pyrrhonian scepticism; the Middle Ages and the important period of the French Renaissance, which produced the work of perhaps the most significant and influential Renaissance sceptic ?
