Abstract

Čím víc je určitý zvyk zakořeněn v každodennosti, tím méně dokladů a vysvětlení k němu míváme. Umrlčí prkna jsou typickým příkladem. Jejich vývoj byl ovlivněn změnami hygienických i kulturně-politických okolností. Příspěvek ve stručnosti ukazuje změnu jejich užití a možnosti pohledu na umrlčí prkna jako na kulturní dědictví česko-bavorského příhraničního regionu.The more rooted a habit is in everyday life, the less evidence and explanation we have for it. Death memorial tablets are a typical example. Their development has been influenced by changes in hygiene and cultural and political circumstances. The paper briefly shows the change in their use and the possibilities of looking at the death boards as a cultural heritage of the Czech-Bavarian border region.
