Abstract

Heslo v odborné encyklopedii pojednávající o Štěpánovi Janovu z Uhřetic (+1365), který byl blízkým spolupracovníkem prvního pražského arcibiskupa Arnošta z Pardubic. Ve struktuře pražského arcibiskupství zastával významné úřady, mimo jiné byl také pověřován arcibiskupem konáním vizitací. Po založení Karlovy univerzity byl jedním ze dvou prvních profesorů, kteří přednášeli na právnické fakultě kanonické právo. Je autorem dochované pastorální příručky pro zpovědníky s titulem Quaestiones seu Casus conscientiae seu Quaestiunculae. V poslední části svého života žil v klášteře v Roudnici.The encyclopaedia entry deals with the Štěpán (Stephan) Janův of Uhřetice. Štěpán Janův of Uhřetice (+1365) was a close collaborator of the first Prague archbishop Arnošt of Pardubice. He held important offices in the structure of the Prague archbishopric, among other things he was also entrusted by the archbishop with the performance of visitations. After the foundation of Charles University, he was one of the first two professors to lecture canon law at the Faculty of Law. He is the author of a surviving pastoral manual for confessors entitled Quaestiones seu Casus conscientiae seu Quaestiunculae. In the last part of his life he lived in the monastery in Roudnice.
