dc.description.abstractMoje diplomová práce nese název Hommage a Sutnar a to je přesně to, čeho se snaží dosáhnout. Rozdělena na tři odlišné série, inspirována různými aspekty Sutnarova díla, prezentuji fotografická řešení, jako poctu renomovanému českému grafikovi. Moje první série je ovlivněna knižními přebaly, které vytvořil pro George Bernarda Shawa. Kombinace lidí z mé amsterdamské street fotografie s geometrickým vizuálním stylem Ladislava Sutnara vyúsťuje v sérii pěti samostatných kompozic. Druhá část mé práce se zabývá pozdějšími roky autora. Inspirován obrazy Venuší, jsem vytvořil sérii třiceti šesti fotografických aktů, které balancují mezi abstraktním a konkrétním, čehož bylo dosaženo skrze opatrné odhalování vždy jen obtížně rozpoznatelné části těla, které divákovi dovoluje přemýšlet nad tím, na co se přesně dívá. Finální část mé práce na sebe bere lehčí tón skrze postupné vytváření světa, ve kterém je každý student naší univerzity ztělesněný Sutnar. dc.description.abstract-translatedMy master's thesis is titled Hommage a Sutnar and that is precisely what it is trying to achieve. Split into three diverse series, taking inspiration from different aspects of Sutnar's body of work, I present photographic solutions as a tribute to the renowned Czech graphic designer. My first series is influenced by book covers, that he made for George Bernard Shaw. Combining people from my Amsterdam street photographs with a geometric visual style of Ladislav Sutnar results in a series of five standalone compositions. Second part of my thesis delves into the later years of the author. Inspired by his Venus paintings I made a thrity six images long series of nude photographs balancing between abstract and concrete, which was achieved through carefully revealing only a hardly distinguishable parts of the body, that allows the viewer to wonder, what exactly is he looking at. The final part of my work takes on a lighter tone through a step by step creation of a world, where every student of our university is the embodiment of Sutnar. It is an absurd commentary on the loss of individuality to a larger ideal. Three series, three tributes to Ladislav Sutnar.en
