dc.description.abstractBakalářská práce se zabývá vývojem platebních karet v České republice od jejich prvního zavedení až po současnost. Cílem práce je analyzovat klíčové milníky v rozvoji platebních karet, posoudit současné trendy v bezhotovostním placení a predikovat jejich další vývoj. Teoretická část práce se věnuje základní charakteristice platebních karet, jejich fungování a historickému kontextu. Praktická část je založena na analýze dat zpracovaných ze statistik Sdružení pro bankovní karty (SBK) za období 1989-2024, která byla převedena do přehledných grafů. Analyzovány jsou zejména počty vydaných karet, objem a četnost transakcí, rozšiřování akceptační infrastruktury, vývoj bankomatové sítě, rozvoj on-line plateb a rostoucí význam digitálních technologií, jako jsou tokenizace či virtuální karty.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThis bachelor thesis focuses on the evolution of payment cards in the Czech Republic from their initial introduction to the present day. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the key milestones in the evolution of payment cards, assess current trends in cashless payments, and predict their future development. The theoretical part deals with the basic characteristics of payment cards, their functioning, and their historical context. The practical part is based on the analysis of data processed from the statistics of the Sdružení pro bankovní karty (SBK) for the period 1989-2024, which were converted into clear graphs. The analysis focuses primarily on the number of issued cards, the volume and frequency of transactions, the expansion of acceptance infrastructure, the development of the ATM network, the growth of online payments, and the increasing importance of digital technologies such as tokenization and virtual cards.en
