Mechanical Stabilisation of Sacral Bone Injuries

Abstract

A computational model of male pelvic ring with and without injury is based on finite element method and verified using experimental data. An attention is paid to minimally invasive osteosynthesis techniques for internal fixation of dorsal pelvis injuries, namely transiliac internal fixation (TIFI), iliosacral screws (ISS) and lumbo-sacral fixations.
