Abstract
Vincent van Gogh a Richard Strauss jsou protagonisty první studie posledního ročníku tříletého tematického bloku NA ROZHRANÍ VĚKŮ. Tematické zaměření ročníku prozrazuje název EXPRESE JAKO SUBJEKTIVNÍ PROŽITEK SVĚTA. Vincent van Gogh a Richard Strauss zastupují postimpresionistický a pozdně romantický proud syntézy realismu resp. pozdního romantismu a expresionismu jako proces emancipace uměleckého díla, který dosahují ve vrcholné fázi své tvorby – van Gogh exaltací kontrastů barev a dynamickými liniemi pastózní malby energických tahů štětce, Strauss pak především v operách Salomé a Elektra dovršil reformu Richarda Wagnera a odvážnou genezí bitonality, polytonality, kvartové harmonie a razantní deformací tonality předjímá „novou tonalitu“ Igora Stravinského a volnou atonalitu Arnolda Schönberga.
Vincent van Gogh and Richard Strauss are the protagonists of the first study of the last year of the three-year thematic block AT THE TURN OF THE AGES. The thematic focus of the year is revealed by the title EXPRESSION AS A SUBJECTIVE EXPERIENCE OF THE WORLD. Vincent van Gogh and Richard Strauss represent the post-impressionist and late romantic currents of the synthesis of realism and realism respectively. Late Romanticism and Expressionism as a process of emancipation of the work of art, which they achieve in the peak phase of their work - van Gogh exalting the contrasts of colours and dynamic lines of pastoral painting of energetic brush strokes, Strauss, especially in his operas Salome and Elektra, completes Richard Wagner's reform and anticipates Igor Stravinsky's "new tonality" and Arnold Schoenberg's free atonality with his bold genesis of bitonality, polytonality, quartet harmony and the vigorous deformation of tonality.
