Česká cizokrajná etnografie: Od cestopisů k sociokulturní antropologii

| dc.description.abstract | Tato práce představuje příspěvek k dějinám české cizokrajné etnografie a etnologie. Cílem práce bylo podrobit kritické analýze pohled významných cestovatelů a etnografů na jimi prezentovanou exotickou jinakost. Tato práce je rozdělena na tři tematické okruhy. Jedná se o cestovatelství, protoetnografii a cizokrajnou etnografii. Z cestopisné literatury byla analyzována díla autorů Emil Holub (1847-1902), Josef Kořenský (1847-1938), Enrique Stanko Vráz (1860-1932) a Alberto Vojtěch Frič (1882-1944), kteří jsou všeobecně chápáni jako čelní zástupci "zlatého věku" českého cestovatelství. V oblasti protoetnografie byla analyzována díla zakladatele etnologického myšlení v českých zemích Jana Slavomíra Tomíčka (1806-1866), popularizátora zájmu o exotické kultury Jaroslava Vlacha (1852-1917) a znalce ruské střední Asie Emanuela Faita (1854-1929). Z oblasti cizokrajné etnografie jsem vybral jednak autory, kteří měli formativní vliv na své okolí, což je případ Otakara Pertolda (1884-1965) a Vojtěcha Suka (1879-1967). Dále jsem zařadil Václava Marka (1908-1994), hlavního představitele marxistického přístupu v cizokrajné etnografii v padesátých letech 20. století a Ladislava Holého (1933-1997), který během následujícího desetiletí představoval inovativní "sociologizující" přístup v rámci analýzy cizích kultur, myšlenkově blízký přístupům britské sociální antropologie. | cs |
| dc.description.abstract-translated | This work represents a contribution to the history of the Czech foreign ethnography and ethnology. The aim of the work was to analyse the view of the eminent travelers and ethnographers on the exotic otherness presented by them. This work is divided into three thematic areas, namely travelogues, proto-ethnography and foreign ethnography. From the travel literature, there were analyzed the works of Emil Holub (1847-1902), Josef Kořenský (1847-1938), Enrique Stanko Vráz (1860-1932) and Alberto Vojtěch Frič (1882-1944), who are generally understood as leading representatives of the "golden age" of the Czech travelling. In the area of proto-ethnography, I presented the three most important authors, namely Jan Slavomír Tomíček (1806-1866), the founder of ethnological thinking in the Czech lands, Jaroslav Vlach (1852-1917), a popularizer of the interest in the exotic cultures, and Emanuel Fait (1854-1929), an expert on Russian Central Asia. Wtihin the field of ethnographic research from the first half of the 20th century until the 1970s, foreign ethnography was rather a marginal matter. The period of dynamic development of the Czech foreign ethnography was the 1960s, during which the foreign ethnography was institutionally established for the first time. From the field of foreign ethnography, I selected authors who had a formative influence on their surroundings, which is the case of Otakar Pertold (1884-1965) and Vojtěch Suk (1879-1967). I also included Václav Marek (1908-1994), the main representative of the Marxist approach in the foreign ethnography in the 1950s, and Ladislav Holý (1933-1997), who represented during the following decade an innovative "sociologizing" approach in the analysis of the foreign cultures, ideologically close to the approaches of British social anthropology. | en |
