Koncept latentní regularity, jeho úvodní teze a uplatnění ve výpočetní analýze hudebního díla

Abstract

Tento článek prezentuje koncept „latentní periodicity“ a metodu výpočetní, počítačem asistované analýzy hudebního díla, která je na konceptu založena. Hudební dílo je zde nahlíženo prostřednictvím dvou relativně nesouvisejících skupin paradigmat. První je estetika, hudební teorie a filosofie podporovaná psychoanalýzou jako pomocnou vědou. Jako druhé se uplatňují exaktní metody výpočetní analýzy v asistenci počítačové vědy. Článek je rozdělen do dvou částí. V první jsou vysvětleny základních teze konceptu a ve druhé je ukázka výpočetní analýzy provedená na skladbě pro sólovou flétnu Density 21,5 (Edgar Varése, 1936).

This paper presents the concept of "latent periodicity" and a method of computational, computer-assisted analysis of musical works based on the concept. The musical work is viewed here through two sets of relatively unrelated paradigms. The first is aesthetics, music theory and philosophy, supported by psychoanalysis as an aiding science. The second is the application of exact methods of computational analysis assisted by computer science. The article is divided into two parts. The first explains the basic theses of the concept and the second is an example of computational analysis performed on a piece for solo flute, Density 21.5 (Edgar Varése, 1936).
