Abstract
Another attraction of Prague Spring 2025 was the concert of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, which took place on 20 May 2025 in the Smetana Hall of the Municipal House in Prague. It was the first ever performance of this artistic ensemble at a festival event in the Czech Republic. It was conducted by the Dutchman Jaap van Zweden. The programme included Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 6 in A minor "Tragic", whose perfect performance became one of the highlights of the festival. The completely sold-out concert hall applauded the huge operating apparatus for a long time for its heroic and flawless performance.
