dc.description.abstractPráce se zabývá historií slévárenství v Plzni a především v jejím širším okolí. Popisuje umístění a vývoj nejznámějších sléváren a strojíren, jejich technologií a výrobního programu. Ukazuje postupný růst původně malých středověkých firem a jejich přechod od malovýroby k velkoobjemové výrobě. Všímá si také nutných změn v používaných technologiích, které to umožnily a srovnává částečně dřívější a dnešní technologie.Popisuje rudné a nerudné zdroje pro výrobu železa a v nejdelší části textu se pak věnuje komorním železárnám. Osahuje i ukázky z výrobního programu některých firem a vzorky jejich výrobků.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThis thesis deals with the history of metalurgy in Pilsen and its surroundings. There is described the placement and evolution of the most famous foundries and machine engineering factories, their techology and producing program. There is shown the succesiv growth of the in the beginning small companies and their transition from small-scale production to large-scale production. There are underlined all the necessary changes in used technologies which enabled such an evolution and there are a partly compared some of thosedays and nowadays technologies, too.In the thesis, there are shootprints of production programs catalogues of some companies, some samples of products, showings of technologies and descriptions of mining areas.en
