Abstract

Der Beitrag besteht aus einer Rezension eines kürzlich erschienenen Sammelbandes mit Aufsätzen, die sich mit der Frage der kommunikativen Möglichkeiten eines künstlerischen (literarischen) Werks befassen. Die Rezension ist in drei Teile gegliedert, von denen sich jeder auf eine thematische Einheit des Buches konzentriert. Diskutiert und analysiert werden Themen aus den Bereichen der sinnlichen Wahrnehmung von Kunstwerken, des Buchdrucks und der Typografiekunst sowie der ästhetischen Wirkung nicht nur literarischer Werke. Im Vordergrund der Rezension stehen sowohl der Inhalt des Sammelbandes, die Analyse struktureller und formaler Elemente und nicht zuletzt der sinnvolle und lesenswerte Beitrag der gesamten Sammlung, der sich mit der aktuellen Frage der Digitalisierung und dem Schicksal (der Zukunft) des Buches als materielles Kulturgut oder, im schlimmeren Fall, als Artefakt der heutigen Welt beschäftigt.

The paper consists of a review of a recently published anthology consisting of essays dealing with the issue of communicative possibilities of an artistic (literary) work. The review is divided into three parts, each of which focuses on one thematic unit of the book. It discusses and analyses topics in the fields of sensory perception of works of art, letterpress printing and the art of typography, and the aesthetic effect of not only literary works. At the forefront of the review is both the content of the anthology, the analysis of structural and formal elements and, last but not least, the meaningful and readerly contribution of the whole collection, which deals with the current issue of digitization and the fate (future) of the book as a material cultural object, or, in a worse case, an artifact of today's world.
