dc.description.abstractBakalářská práce přibližuje vybrané otázky překladu kolokviální češtiny (zejména obecné češtiny a slangů) do angličtiny. Přibližuje bázové pojmy teorie uměleckého překladu, např. ekvivalence, adekvátnost, přeložitelnost. Na analýze vybraných literárních děl (román amerického spisovatel Warrena Millera - Prezydent Krokadýlů v překladu Josefa Škvoreckého a publikace Jacka Kerouaca - Na cestě v překladu Jiřího Josky) uvádí možnosti převodu nespisovných útvarů českého jazyka do jazyka anglického. Ukazuje se, že zdařilý literární překlad, který by tvůrčím způsobem zachovával relevantní rysy a kvality původního díla, je v zásadě možný.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThis bachelor thesis deals with the selected issues, connected with the topic of coloquial Czech languagne (with the focus on general language, spoken among majority of the Czech population) and its translation into English language. This thesis closely explains basic terms, used in the theory of the artistic translation, such as equivalence, adequacy or translation ability. Based on the analysis of selected literature works (novel by the American author Warren Miller Prezident Krokadýlů, which was translated by Czech writer Josef Škvorecký and the novel by Jack Kerouack On the Road, translated by Jiří Joska), this thesis describes all the possible ways, how to translate Czech based expressions, written in coloquial style, into English. language. As a result, this thesis shows, that there always exists a possible way, how to keep an adequate literary translation, which in an artistic way shares the relevant work features and follows the qualities of the original work.en
