In the European dimension, the right to education is not only one of the basic human rights, but also an important indicator of the maturity of contemporary society. The education of visually impaired children is defined by section 16 of the 2016 amendment to the Education Act of 2015 (Czech Republic, 2016). In our current situation, inclusion is a dominant philosophy and inclusive practices are prioritized. Inclusion is preferred by society, however, the current system of special education intended for children—pupils and students with visual impairments, afull-fledged alternative to the integrated form of education-continues to maintain its position of non-inclusivity.en
