Abstract
Na prvním červnovém koncertě České filharmonie stanul za dirigentským pultem významný americký dirigent Michael Tilson Thomas. Na program byla zařazena dvě rozměrná díla: Svita z baletu Apalačské jaro Aarona Coplanda (1900–1990) a Symfonie C dur „Velká“, D 944 Franze Schuberta (1797–1828). Interpretační koncepce dirigenta i zainteresovaná realizace orchestru naznačila oběma skladbám nové světlé perspektivy jejich života na koncertních pódiích.
The first concert of the Czech Philharmonic in June featured the distinguished American conductor Michael Tilson Thomas at the podium. The programme included two large-scale works: The Suite from the ballet Appalachian Spring by Aaron Copland (1900-1990) and the Symphony in C major "The Great", D 944 by Franz Schubert (1797-1828). The conductor's interpretative concept and the orchestra's interested realization hinted at bright new perspectives for both works in their life on the concert stage.
