dc.description.abstractHlavním tématem této bakalářské práce je objevení Nového světa a proměny renesanční filosofie a vědy v tomto kontextu. Hlavní pozornost bude věnována myšlenkám Francise Bacona týkající se objevu Nového světa. (v jeho dílech Nové Organon, Nová Atlantida a Eseje). První kapitola krátce popisuje období renesance, počátky zámořských objevů a vliv Nového světa na proměny společnosti a myšlení člověka. Zmíním se o kritickém přehodnocování tradičního poznání, o narušení statusu knih a o zakládání nových institucí, které sloužily jako informační centra shromažďující poznatky z Nového světa. V další kapitole se budu věnovat Velkému obnovení věd a Novému Organu. Francis Bacon byl přesvědčen o nutnosti zřízení specifické vědecké instituce. Bacon kladl důraz na metodu indukce, která měla vycházet z dostatečného počtu testů a experimentů. Třetí kapitola se zabývá vývojem sociální filozofie, která se zabývala ideální formou lidské společnosti. Zaměřím se na utopické vize. Za prvé se budu věnovat sociální utopii Thomase Mora a utopii Tommasa Campanelly. Zaměřím se především na "vědeckou utopii" Francise Bacona (Nová Atlantida). Francis Bacon chápe nový svět jako místo budoucích vědeckých výzkumů. V poslední části bude věnována pozornost skepticismu Michela de Montaigna.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThe main topic of this bachelor thesis is the discovery of the New World and the change of Renaissance philosophy and science. The main attention will be paid to the reflection on the New World´s discovery in works of Francis Bacon. (in his works New Organon, New Atlantis, Essays). The first chapter shortly describes the era of Renaissance, the origins of overseas discoveries, and the influence of the New World on the transformation of society and thinking of a person. I will mention a critical reassessment of traditional knowledge, about the disruption of the status of books, the establishment of new institutions that served as information centers gathering knowledge from the New World. In the next chapter I will deal with the Great Instauration and the New Organon. Francis Bacon was convinced of the necessity of creating a specific scientific institution. Bacon placed emphasis on the method of induction, which should have been based on a sufficient number of tests and experiments. The third chapter deals with the development of social philosophy that dealt with the ideal form of human society. I will focus on utopian visions. First, I will briefly discuss Thomas Mora's social utopia and Tommass Campanella's utopia. I will concentrate primarily on Francis Bacon's "scientific" utopia (New Atlantis). The last part will pay attention to skepticism by Michel de Montaigne. Francis Bacon understands the New World as a place of future scientific investigations.en
