Analysis of autoparametric double pendulum

Abstract

The contribution focuses on Rott´s double pendulum, which can exhibit internal resonances for a specific tuning of its parameters. An energy-based approach is applied to reveal low coupling energy regimes characteristic of slow energy exchange. Regular periodic, quasiperiodic and chaotic regimes are investigated.
