| dc.description.abstract | Tato bibliofilie představuje povídku Nebožtíci, poslední ze sbírky Dubliňané irského autora Jamese Joyce. Krátký příběh je vyvrcholením sbírky textů se stěžejním motivem epifanie, momentem prozření čtenáře i postav. S ilustrací je pracováno stejně. Frotáže a obtisky postupně střídá dramatizující stylizace dosažená skenováním pohybu tisků, kulminujících rozpadem osobní reality hlavní postavy. Kniha jako celek usiluje o propojení vznešenosti kultury přelomu století se současnou knihou skrz techniku ilustrace kombinovanou s plátěnou pevnou vazbou s napodobením raznic. | cs |
| dc.description.abstract-translated | This bibliophilia introduces James Joyce's short story The Dead, final one in the collection named Dubliners. The short story is the culmination of a series of texts with the main theme being epiphany, an emotional breakthrough moment of both the reader and the protagonist. Illustrations work in the same way. Simple prints evolve through dramatic stylisation, using scans of movement of the prints, reaching the final emotional break brought by the epiphany. The book as a whole tries to connect the cultural majesty of the beginning of the century with contemporary books through the technique, the hard, cloth cover and die imitation. | en |
