dc.description.abstract-translatedArt creates a space for the development of imagination and fantasy that knows no boundaries or limits. It represents the freedom that is inherent in each of us and helps us to overcome fear. Fear often hinders our freedom, while imagination allows us to overcome obstacles and supports our personal development. In keeping with the message of IBBY 2024, “Cross the seas on the wings of your imagination”, the paper focuses on the role of stories in children’s development, promoting their self-knowledge and the development of critical thinking skills. Stories serve as motivational and inspirational tools. Each exhibition or programme of BIBIANA is a story in itself. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate how art and stories help to overcome fears and boundaries and to open wings for personal growth.en
