dc.description.abstractTato bakalářská práce se zabývá útoky z 11. září a jejich dopadem na americkou populární kulturu. Je rozdělena do dvou hlavních částí: teoretické a praktické. Teoretická část nejprve podává podrobný přehled událostí z 11. září. Druhá teoretická část se zaměřuje na definici a akademické studium populární kultury a analyzuje její projevy v hudbě, filmu, videohrách, literatuře a komiksech. Praktická část práce provádí interdisciplinární analýzu dvou kulturních děl ovlivněných atmosférou po 11. září: písně "Not Ready to Make Nice" skupiny "The Chicks" a filmu "World Trade Center" režiséra Olivera Stonea. Píseň je zkoumána z pohledu muzikologie, mediálních studií a genderové teorie, přičemž jsou zdůrazněna témata odporu a odolnosti. Analýza filmu se zaměřuje na narativní strukturu, filmové techniky a lidské zobrazení traumatu a přežití. Cílem práce je ukázat, jak americká populární kultura zpracovala a reagovala na události a následky 11. září prostřednictvím různých uměleckých forem.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThis bachelor thesis explores the 9/11 attacks and their impact on American popular culture. It is divided into two main parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part first presents a detailed overview of the 9/11 events. The second theoretical segment focuses on the definition and academic study of popular culture and analyzing its manifestations across music, film, video games, literature, and comics. The practical part of the thesis conducts interdisciplinary analyses of two cultural works influenced by the post-9/11 atmosphere: the song "Not Ready to Make Nice" by "The Chicks" and the film "World Trade Center" directed by Oliver Stone. The song is examined through musicology, media studies, and gender theory, highlighting themes of resistance and resilience. The film analysis centers on narrative structure, cinematic techniques, and the human-centered portrayal of trauma and survival. The thesis aims to demonstrate how American popular culture processed and responded to the events and aftermath of 9/11 through different artistic forms.en
