| dc.description.abstract-translated | The article deals with very topical problems as nowadays environment protection is very actual and one of the most obvious areas is freight transport, because it is an important creator of greenhouse gas and environment pollution. Countries face to big public pressure to decrease negative ecological but also economical and social impacts of freight transport. The aim of the article is also showing how to deal with improving of environmental performance of freight transport as there are many ways how to reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) in international road and rail freight transport.
