dc.description.abstractZáměrem bakalářské práce je interpretovat motivy smrti v alžbětinském dramatu. Hlavní část práce se týká analýzy motivů smrti v dílech Williama Shakespeara a dalších alžbětinských dramatiků, jmenovitě Kyda Thomase, Marlowa Christophera, Greena Roberta, Heywooda Thomase a Webstera Johna. Po analýze dramat následuje komparace děl Shakespearových a děl ostatních alžbětinských dramatiků na základě společných prvků. Ze závěru této práce vyplývá, že reflexe motivů smrti souvisela nejčastěji s problematikou náboženské tradice, především křesťanské, a že v některých dílech lze nalézt rovněž tendence mravoučné.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThe intention of the thesis is to interpret the theme of death in Elizabethan drama. The main part of the work includes the analysis of the themes of death in the works of William Shakespeare and other Elizabethan dramatists, namely Kyd Thomas, Marlowe Christopher, Greene Robert, Heywood Thomas and Webster John. Among this examined dramas are early works (The Comedy of Errors by Shakespeare or The Spanish Tragedy by Kyd) and there are also masterpieces of Elizabethan drama (Hamlet by Shakespeare) and latest works (The Duchess of Malfi by Webster). This selection helps for a more comprehensive picture of relfection of themes of death in Elizabethan drama. Analysis of these dramas is followed by the comparison of Shakespeare's works and works of other playwrights, on the basis of common features. The conclusion of this work shows that the consideration of themes is related to the problems of religious traditions, especially the christian one, and that in some works is also moralizing tendency found.en
