Abstract
At their next orchestral concert, the Prague Symphony brought the audience the modern music of Béla Bartók and the romantic opus of Richard Strauss. The programme was performed on 19 March 2025 in the Smetana Hall of the Municipal House in Prague. The soloist of the evening was Canadian violinist Leila Josefowicz, the orchestra was led by chief conductor Tomáš Brauner. Although the compositions chosen were large, complex in their expression, the packed auditorium applauded thunderously after each of them. The audience's sympathies were directed not only to the works themselves, but also to their performance.
