| dc.description.abstract-translated | The paper explores how organisational resilience and sustainability interact as mutually reinforcing capacities essential for long-term viability. Based on a systematic literature synthesis using the PRISMA framework, it identifies key mechanisms, such as governance, leadership, learning, and the circular economy, that connect sustainability to resilience across different crisis phases. The analysis shows that when sustainability is authentically embedded in strategy and culture, it enhances resilience by preventing risks, stabilising operations during crises and enabling post-crisis transformation. Conversely, fragmented or poorly timed implementation can increase organisational tension. The proposed conceptual model of Sustainable Resilience positions sustainability as the normative and institutional framework that ensures continuity, while resilience functions as a dynamic capability for anticipation, adaptation, and learning. The study reframes crises as catalysts of sustainable transformation and provides a foundation for future empirical research and managerial practice aimed at building organisations that are not only resilient to shocks but capable of evolving toward long-term sustainability. | en |
