dc.description.abstractThis contribution presents a parametric study on the influence of pad dimensions and preload settings in a tilting pad journal bearing. The study aims to identify potential issues in bearing setup and mitigate undesirable behaviors during operation, such as elastic contact between the journal and the pads. Numerical simulations are performed using in-house software.en
