Abstract
Zaplněné Rudolfinum odměnilo bouřlivým a dlouho trvajícím potleskem všechny účinkující.
Our first orchestra with its chief conductor Semyon Bychkov prepared an interesting programme for the audience in recent days. In addition to Stravinsky's Rite of Spring, the founding work of world modernism, the premiere of the 2nd symphony by the contemporary English composer Julian Anderson (b. 1967) entitled Prague Panoramas was performed. The soloist of the evening was the star Icelandic pianist Víkingur Ólafsson, who performed Mozart's Concerto in A major for piano and orchestra, KV 488 with the orchestra. The packed Rudolfinum rewarded all the performers with thunderous and long-lasting applause.
