„Post“ situace v Sorokinově románu Doktor Garin

Abstract

Stať vykládá román Vladimira Sorokina Doktor Garin (2021) prizmatem „post“ situace. Jde do určité míry o umělý interpretační přístup, nicméně se ukazuje, že atribut „post“ se promítá do mnoha složek textu v rovině poetické i tematické a je klíčový pro charakteristiku narativní strategie i stavu popisovaného světa. Román nese výrazné prvky postmodernismu. Čerpá inspiraci z dystopické postapokalyptické literatury. Co do vztahu k jiným Sorokinovým prózám představuje postquel. Reflektuje stav světového uspořádání v epoše postimperialismu, ale zároveň již konstruuje obraz doby „postglobální“, postmigrační a také postdigitální. V neposlední řadě se autor vyjadřuje k idejím posthumanismu. Některá témata rozvíjejí myšlenky předchozích próz, jiné elementy textu jsou pro spisovatelův styl poměrně neobvyklé.

The article interprets Vladimir Sorokin’s novel Doctor Garin (2021) through the prism of the “post” situation. This is to some extent an artificial interpretive approach, but it turns out that the attribute of “post” is reflected in many components of the text on the poetic and thematic levels and is crucial for characterizing the narrative strategy and the state of the described world. The novel bears strong elements of postmodernism. It draws inspiration from dystopian post-apocalyptic literature. In relation to Sorokin’s other prose, it represents a postquel. It reflects the state of the world order in the epoch of post-imperialism, but at the same time it already constructs an image of a “post-global”, post-migration and also post-digital age. Last but not least, the author comments on the ideas of posthumanism.
