Abstract
Každý dobrý učitel často přemýšlí, čím zaujmout své studenty, jak je nadchnout pro svůj předmět. Jednou ze zajímavých částí matematiky, která toto dokáže, je teorie grafů. V příspěvku se kromě obecných námětů pro začlenění do výuky zaměříme na jeden konkrétní problém, a to problém čtyř barev, který lze snadno formulovat i pro laika. Zajímavá a poučná je i historie důkazu tohoto problému.
Every good teacher often thinks about how to interest his students, how to get them excited about his subject. One such interesting part of mathematics is the graph theory. In this paper, among general topics which can be included into teaching, we will focus on one specific problem, namely the four colour problem, which can be easily formulated even for a laymen. The history of the proof of this problem is also interesting and instructive.
