dc.description.abstract-translatedStudent activation in education is an important prerequisite for learning. In primary education, one of the effective activation strategies is to work with pupils preconceptions, which require the identification and modification of the problem and an inductive approach for searching solutions. In primary education, one of the effective activation strategies is to work with pupils preconceptions, which require the identification and modification of the problem and an inductive approach for searching solutions. These strategies also have their place in the inquire based technical education, in which pupils acquire and form specific competences - technical thinking, technical imagination, skills, technical drawing, user skills of technologies. An example of methods used to stimulate activity, learning and assessment is the Concept Cartoons© method. The paper offers examples of how it can be applied to the process of technical education with the aim of developing pupils' technical competence in the topic Fundamentals of Construction. We propose the application of the method in the topics Magnet and Electric Circuit, as themes for the integrated and comprehensive use of the contents of technical, natural and social science education in the scope of the curriculum of primary education. The contribution was created as part of VEGA grant task no. 1/0486/24 Research on the potential of teachers and analysis of curriculum documents from the aspect of integration of educational contents of primary education, the responsible researcher of which is PaedDr. Monika Brozmanová, PhD.
