dc.description.abstractCílem této diplomové práce je představit vztah mezi překladem a filosofií a popsat jejich propojení v kontextu translatologie. Práce je rozdělena do tří hlavních částí. První část je zaměřena na vznik a vývoj translatologie jako vědy. Druhá část sleduje vývoj vztahu překladu a filosofie, především v době německého romantismu, kdy vznikaly stěžejní filosofické teze týkající se jazyka a překladu. Název třetí části, který je rovněž názvem celé práce, je odvozen od slavného myšlenkového experimentu amerického analytického filosofa W.V.O.Quina. Jeho a další filosofické teze 20. století týkající se překladu a významu ovlivnily vztah mezi překladem a filosofií, který je v současnosti velmi nejistý.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThe main objective of this diploma thesis is to introduce the relationship between translation and philosophy and explain their connection in current Translation Studies. The thesis is divided into three parts. First part primarily describes the birth of Translation Studies. Second part follows the development of relationship between translation and philosophy, especially during the German Romanticism when main influencial theories concerning language and translation were formed. The title of the thesis is also the title of the third part and it comes from well-known philosophical experiment introduced by American analytic philosopher W.V.O.Quine. Quine's and other philosophical theses of 20th century had a great impact on the relationship between translation and philosophy, which is indeterminate as well at the present day.en
