Když Šumava vypráví

Abstract

Příspěvek sestává z analýzy dvou povídkových sbírek a jedné samostatně vydané povídky německého spisovatele, učitele a historika Josefa Blaua (1872–1960). Doposud nepřeložené texty vášnivého sběratele šumavské lidové slovesnosti budou představeny a posuzovány nejen z hlediska lingvistického, ale především z pohledu kulturně-historického. Šumavská krajina a její obyvatelé a tradice, především pak sklářství, byli pro Blaua nevyčerpatelnou studnicí inspirace – není tomu jinak ani u jeho beletristických děl – Von Räubern, Wildschützen und anderen Waldbrüdern (1928), Der Honigbaum und andere Geschichten (1934) a Der tapfere Lenz: Geschichtliche Erzählung aus der Vergangenheit des Böhmerwaldes (1936).

The article consists of an analysis of two short story collections and one independently published short story by the German writer, teacher and historian Josef Blau (1872–1960). The previously untranslated texts of the passionate collector of Bohemian Forest folk literature will be presented and assessed not only from a linguistic point of view, but primarily from a cultural-historical point of view. The Bohemian Forest landscape and its inhabitants and traditions, especially glassmaking, were an inexhaustible source of inspiration for Blau – this is no different in his works of fiction – Von Räubern, Wildschützen und anderen Waldbrüdern (1928), Der Honigbaum und andere Geschichten (1934) and Der tapfere Lenz: Geschichtliche Erzählung aus der Vergangenheit des Böhmerwaldes (1936).
