Abstract

V osobnosti nového šéfdirigenta Tomáše Netopila získávají Pražští symfonikové mezinárodně uznávanou autoritu, jež povede toto umělecké těleso k novým metám. Jeho spolupráce s tímto orchestrem probíhá již celou řadu let, kdy působil jako šéfdirigent na mnoha místech, v poslední době pak v německém Essenu či předtím na půdě Národního divadla v Praze. Ani v nové pozici však neopouští hostování u předních světových orchestrů či operních domů.Dramaturgie inauguračního koncertu byla vedena ideou oživit v publiku povědomí silných kořenů české národní kultury, které zasahují i do dnešní doby, a dát těmto kořenům širší kontext. Stanovené cíle byly naplněny. Zvolená díla Jana Hanuše a Gustava Mahlera promluvila v přesvědčivé interpretaci a zanechala v publiku silný dojem.

In the personality of the new chief conductor Tomáš Netopil, the Prague Symphony is gaining an internationally recognised authority who will lead this artistic ensemble to new heights. He has been working with this orchestra for many years, having served as chief conductor in many places, most recently in Essen, Germany, and before that at the National Theatre in Prague. Even in his new position, however, he does not abandon guest appearances with the world's leading orchestras and opera houses.The dramaturgy of the inaugural concert was guided by the idea of reviving the audience's awareness of the strong roots of Czech national culture, which extend to the present day, and to give these roots a broader context. The set objectives were fulfilled. The selected works by Jan Hanus and Gustav Mahler spoke in a convincing interpretation and left a strong impression on the audience.
