Radka má Odradka. Laudatio auf Radka Denemarková zur Verleihung des Odradek-Buchpreises zum Franz Kafka-Preis 2024

Abstract

Franz Kafkas Erzählung "Die Sorge des Hausvaters", in der Forschung als Odradek-Text bekannt, wird als Paradigma für das Leben der tschechischen Preisträgerin aufgegriffen. In ihrem preisgekrönten Essayroman "Stunden aus Blei" hinterfragt die tschechische Autorin die Wirtschaftsbeziehungen der sogenannten freien Welt zu einem totalitären Regime (China) und fragt somit nach dem Preis der Freiheit; das philosophisch geprägte Buch, in dem Konfuzius in einen Dialog mit Václav Havel tritt, zeigt eine Gesellschaft, die sich nur über das Geld definiert, am Rande des Abgrunds.Povídka Franze Kafky „Starost hlavy rodiny“, v sekundární literatuře známá jako Odradek, slouží jako paradigma života české laureátky. V oceněném esejistickém románu "Hodiny z olova" česká autorka kritizuje ekonomické vazby tzv. svobodného světa na totalitní režim (Čína) a ptá se tak na cenu svobody; filozoficky pojatá kniha, v níž Konfucius vstupuje do dialogu s Václavem Havlem, ukazuje společnost, zaměřenou pouze na zisk, na okraji propasti.Franz Kafka's story ‘The Cares of a Family Man’, known in research as the Odradek text, is used as a paradigm for the life of the Czech prizewinner. In her award-winning novel ‘Hours of Lead’, the Czech author questions the economic relations between the so-called free world and a totalitarian regime (China) and thus asks about the price of freedom; the philosophically influenced book, in which Confucius enters into a dialogue with Václav Havel, shows a society that is geared solely to profit, on the brink of the abyss.
